The 600mm x 600mm x 40mm B125 Manhole Cover & Frame (Single Seal Access Cover) is a ductile iron inspection cover designed for installations in footpaths, pavements, and shared-use pedestrian areas. Rated to B125 (125kN / 12.5 tonnes), this product is suitable for areas subject to pedestrian use and occasional vehicular traffic, including locations where kerb mounting is common.
This cover has a 600mm x 600mm clear opening, with a 665mm x 665mm base and a frame depth of 40mm, making it ideal for shallow installations. The solid top design ensures debris cannot enter the chamber below, while the single seal frame provides a secure grease-packed fit to limit odour and surface water ingress.
Constructed from GJS-500-7 spheroidal graphite ductile iron, this unit provides high strength with a lighter weight for easier handling. The black coated finish adds protection against corrosion, while closed keyways improve visual presentation and help maintain a flush surface profile.
This B125 manhole cover is BS EN124-2:2015 certified, carries the BSI Kitemark, and supports additional site-specific options such as badging, locking, venting, or odour plates, which are available on request.
