Description
The 600mm x 450mm x 70mm C250 Manhole Cover & Frame (Single Seal Access Cover) is a medium-duty ductile iron access solution designed for use in kerbside locations, footpaths, and shared use areas. Rated to C250 (250kN / 25 tonnes) and certified to BS EN124-2:2015, it is suitable for installations up to 500mm from the kerb into a carriageway.
This unit features a 600mm x 450mm clear opening, a 710mm x 560mm base size, and a 70mm frame depth, making it a compact but effective solution for light traffic zones. Constructed from spheroidal graphite ductile iron to EN 1563:2018, the cover is finished in a black protective coating to resist corrosion and weathering.
The single seal frame provides an effective grease-packed airtight barrier, helping reduce odours and surface water ingress. Its high-grip patterned surface is independently tested to deliver a PSRV rating over 70, ensuring safe pedestrian access even in wet conditions — validated by a UKAS-accredited third-party lab.
This product is BSI Kitemark certified, meets the detailed design requirements of CD534, and supports sustainability goals through full recyclability and reduced lifecycle emissions.
