The Wavin Osma 315mm Inspection Chamber Base (WAJ 2) is a durable PVC base unit designed for use within the Wavin Osma Multi-Base Inspection Chamber (MBIC) system. This model incorporates a 90 Degree bent channel with a single 110mm inlet, making it ideal for applications where drainage flow needs to be redirected within confined spaces.
It is compatible with all Wavin Osma 315mm shaft sections and cover options, enabling you to create inspection chambers at the exact depth and configuration needed for your project. The push-fit socket connections with factory-fitted elastomeric seals provide a secure, watertight fit and allow for rapid on-site installation without specialist tools or wet trades.
Constructed from robust PVC, the WAJ 2 base is lightweight yet engineered for long-term underground performance. It is suitable for both above-ground and buried installations, from shallow access points to deeper chambers when combined with multiple shaft sections.
When used as part of a complete MBIC system, this base complies with BS EN 13598-1:2010 and Building Regulations Part H1 for shallow inspection chambers, allowing installation to a depth of up to 0.6 metres (or up to 0.9 metres in Wales under SFA7 Type 4). It can also handle loads up to 15kN (1.5 tonnes) when correctly installed.
